Curriculum Overview

The DAFE program is structured to include a combination of community-based practical experiences and theoretical study within a total of 32 credits.

  • Basics of HIV and AIDS – Understanding the Biology, Transmission of myths and realities of HIV/AIDS.
  • Prevention and Control of HIV and STD – A comprehensive understanding of prevention methods, treatment protocols, and public health models.
  • Family Life Education – A broad understanding and exploration of issues related to human sexuality, relationships, gender roles, and family planning.
  • Human Behavior and Communication – Skills on counseling and empathetic responses, and non-verbal cues aid in effective health messaging.
